    • Any stage of the national championships is allowed

    • If a country doesn’t have a national championship, please email competition@ultimatefederation.eu for an exception

Eligibility of Players

Players need to be approved by their National Federation.

The rules of the respective National Federation apply to their country's teams.

Add-ons:

Only the NF Roster Admin can upload additions to the Master Roster. The same rules apply to add-ons as to all the other players. Add-ons are allowed from 1st April to 15th July.

Moves:

Moves can only be requested by the NF Roster Admin. The same restrictions apply to moves as to all the other players.

Moves are restricted to the Transfer Period, and there are limits to successful moves per division.

Roster management

Master Roster

All teams registered in the EUCS system must have a master roster with at least 14 players by April 1st.

The NF Roster Admin is responsible for uploading and updating said master roster and, therefore, can create their deadlines (before April 1st) so that the workflow works for them.

The Master Roster is used to select the players of each team attending a specific tournament.

It is not possible to delete a player from the Master Roster without approval by the EUF. The request must be sent to the EUF admin: rostering@ultimatefederation.eu

Example:

  • Team A has tryouts but selects all possible players to upload to the master roster.

  • After the Spring Tour, the Team Admin informs the EUF Admin that a player who DID NOT play at the Spring Tour should be deleted because they were cut before.

  • After review, the player will be deleted by the EUF Rostering Admin

Players CANNOT be deleted if they were rostered on a tournament roster.

Tournament Roster

There are two kinds of tournaments whose results are considered for the EUCS Ranking system:

  1. EUF Tournaments

  2. EUF-Approved Tournament

Tournament Rosters are mandatory for EUF tournaments.

Teams can choose whether to use the EUF-Approved Tournament in the EUCS ranking system. This decision must be made during registration for the EUF-Approved tournament. If they decide to count the tournament, they agree to fulfil the EUCS eligibility rules during the tournament. If no roster is submitted, a penalty of 260€ will be invoiced.

The EUCS ranking system considers only game results among teams that count the tournament in their ranking. • See Ranking System.

EUF-Approved tournaments will have a dedicated question asking if teams want to use the tournament in their ranking during registration.

The Team Admin submits the tournament roster using the Rostering tool.

Once a team is selected for an EUF-Approved tournament, the team admin can submit the tournament roster. This must be done no later than:

  1. 2 weeks for EUF tournaments

  2. 1 Week for EUF-Approved tournaments.

  3. If no roster is submitted, a penalty of 260€ will be issued.

EUF will invoice each team for the fee payments of the players listed. It will use the tournament roster after the tournament deadline to issue the final invoice.

If no Tournament roster is submitted for EUF tournaments, 26 players from the master roster will be selected as attending, and the invoice for the players' fees will be issued accordingly.

Players on a tournament roster are locked to the tournament roster and can not be transferred, impacting the transfer period.

Teams will be disqualified for the season if they attend with players who are not rostered.

Player's Categories

Players on a roster can be distinguished into these categories

  • Core Player - a player that is part of the team Master Roster prior to the Master Roster submission deadline on April 1st.

  • Add-on Player - A player that is not part of any Master Roster and is added to the team Master Roster after April 1st.

  • Moved Player - A player who was part of the Master Roster on a different team will be transferred to a new team for the rest of the EUCS season.

Add-ons

A player who is not part of any Master Roster and is added after April 1st is considered an Add-on.

There are no limitations on the number of Add-ons from April 1st until July 15th.

If an NF applies stricter rules, the Teams of this federation need to apply the rules of their NF.

After the July 15th freeze on the Master Roster, new players can no longer be registered.

Moves

The Team needs to inform their National federation about the request, and their NF Roster Admin needs to put this request into the Roster system. This triggers the following emails:

  • The requested player (Player A) gets a notification about the transfer, and player A needs to approve the move by following the instructions in the email.

  • The NF Roster Admin where player A is moving FROM gets a notification

  • The team admin where player A is moving FROM gets a notification

Once player A accepts the transfer, the Team Admin the player is joining and the NF Roster Admin that requested the transfer gets a notification that the transfer has been made.

It is also a Move when a player is transferred within the same club from a Mixed to a single-gender division. In case of a player transitioning within the season, this is also considered a Move: Gender Inclusion Policy

Moves are only possible during the Transfer Period from June 2nd to July 15th.

Teams are limited to the number of moves they can successfully add to their Master Roster:

  • Mixed: 5

  • Open: 3

  • Women: 5

Transfer Period

The Transfer Period is from June 2nd to July 15th. Within this timeframe, National Federations must request the transfer of players for their respective teams. NFs are allowed to have their own internal deadlines to create their own workflow.

The deadline for all transfers and additions of Add-on players is July 15th.

Master Roster Lock

After the Transfer Period (July 15th), the Master Roster Lock is in place.

Teams are no longer allowed to request any changes to their Master Roster.

Specification: Wildcards

The qualification for the EUCF can be via a Wildcard or the Ranking System.

If a team is qualified via a Wildcard before the transfer period is over, its players can no longer move to another team.

These teams can still request additional players and have Add-ons as long as the Master Roster hasn’t been locked.
